Encouraging Writers, Sharing Dreams
Gaslight Writers is a laid back, fun and great non-profit writing group for adults. We meet on the second Monday and fourth Wednesday of each month. Our meeting location is at the Jeffersontown branch of the Louisville Free Public Library, 10635 Watterson Trail, and Bluebird Lane.
Meetings officially run from 7:00 to 8:30, with fellowship beginning at 6:30. New members are always welcome! Any questions - email Patti at mcquillen3@hotmail.com. Thanks!
Webmaster Note: We will be moving to a new server. I am in the process of changing pages over. If there is a particular page you would really like to see, now is the time to let me know. Within the first week in June, I will have all the pages removed except for the homepage. Watch for the new address.
About Our Meetings
During the meetings, we read responses to the current writing assignment. We do this out loud to build confidence and sharing. New business and ideas are discussed, and new members are given the official welcome!
Before ending, we will complete a timed, on-demand writing piece. We use pre-written story parts to create a base. From this, we use our personal writing styles to create humourous, life-based, insightful pieces!
